Tasmanian Trout > Queensland Barramundi > Blue Water Giant Trevally

All-inclusive 10 Day Adventure

Your adventure starts with flights direct to Brisbane, followed by a short drive down the coast to fish Bergie’s home town near the Gold Coast to chase local Flathead. We'll then fly down to the very south of Australia to historic Tasmania, and fish the serene lakes for Brown Trout. The next leg will be back up the east coast to Far North Queensland hunting out a monstrous Barramundi and then finishing off the adventure offshore in the blue water for Mulloway, Giant Trevally, Coral Trout and more.

Fly from USA direct to Brisbane and the Gold Coast. Famed for its long sandy beaches and surf breaks, the Gold Coast is also home to beautiful mountain ridges and valleys, rare birds and rainforest.

Gold Coast - the fishing!

We'll be hitting my local waterways chasing flathead and mangrove jack. 

 

We might even 'throw a few shrimp on the barbie!' in true Aussie home-grown fashion with the whole 'Berg' clan!

Tasmania - the sights!

We'll fly into Hobart, Australia’s charming, southernmost capital city, nestled between the scenic River Derwent and majestic Kunanyi / Mt Wellington. You'll experience the natural beauty, historical sites, and friendly locals that make 'Tassie' a true gem. We'll be sure to sample the best local cuisine - the scallop pie!

Heading south for our fishing adventure, we'll visit a river that hasn’t been touched in over 100 years!  It’s going to be bloody cold but amazing!

 

Expert fisherman Will Thorpe will guide us on an unforgettable journey in the tranquil southern Tassie wilderness, chasing Brown Trout.

Gladstone - the sights!

We'll be too busy chasing fish to worry about the sights! From huge Barramundi in Awoonga Dam behind the hinterland to a plethora of species on the exquisite reef, through to massive fighting pelagics out on the blue water. Bring your muscles!

We'll be chasing absolutely huge Barramundi just inland from Gladstone at Awoonga Dam!

 

Next we'll be heading offshore through the Great Barrier Reef marine park where we'll throw a few lines out for Coral Trout and other reef species, then out to the blue water to target Giant Trevally - one of my absolute favourite fighting fish!
